I think attendance at the Starkville regional will suffer when South Alabama knocks State into the losers bracket.

I'm pretty sure that it's logistically impossible for LSU to ever beat an Ole Miss or MSU attendance record in the regionals. We just don't have the room in our stadium even if it was 100% filled with seats and SRO.

LSU is up about 4,000 tickets in paid attendance after day 1. LSU is also leading actual attendance but there's no definitive numbers because every other school is afraid to post their actual numbers.

Mississippi State will probably catch up some in the tickets sold category tonight but LSU will sell more on Sunday.

The only way Mississippi State sells more tickets is if the regional goes to Monday.. Which is probable.

pretty damn close. Never would have thought it was that big myself.

Mississippi State lost 6 series this season so they're not used to winning on the weekend.

And no one drives from Jackson, Meridian, or Tupelo? Stop acting like bandwagon Mississippi State baseball fans are such great fans because there's only 40,000 potential people that could make a game.

Both farther distances than it is from New Orleans to BR...you can stop now- you wont win this battle

This all goes back to the state of Mississippi and it's ignorance of putting one of its major universities in the freaking corner of the state. The lack of foresight by our leaders 140 years ago is mindboggling

We were 15-7 at home in weekend series- we lost 2 series at home all year- both very early in the season before we settled on weekend starters. Since we went to this group on weekends- we havent lost a series at home

So you can take your "probable" bullshite and shove it up your arse

No the amazing part is that you get mad about it. I mean who really cares? Fans don't win championships.

Especially considering the OP has missed the mark so far......when you boys had everyone convinced you were going to have people swinging from the trees up there. It simply hasn't happened yet (not saying it won't).

Yeah I gotcha on that, I just meant that say hypothetically a team like LSU was sent to MSU for a regional. The game against MSU would probably blow any national attendance record out of the water and it wouldn't even be close. Having a berm out there makes all the difference in the world. It's something I would seriously love to have at LSU

I agree if it were in the outfield. I wouldn't be for a berm down the lines. I appeared to me when I went to the aTm series that the berms down the lines actually hurt their attendance.

If LSU had a stadium with it's grandstand and State's outfield- it would be the best place to play baseball in the world outside of Fenway and Wrigley

How many did you have? We had 11,202 through the gates with probably close to 4000 in the outfield just for our 7:00 game. I don't know how many were at first game.
