They need a proven winner, a la John Brady.



He went to the Final 4. Would be a homerun IMO.

Name another coach in the history of college basketball that went from the Final Four in one year to missing the entire postseason the next year.

If that scenario didn't play out under Brady he'd probably still be around.

Someone yesterday mentioned Larry Eustachy. He's a great coach, and if his off-court issues are behind him (as they seem to be), he'd be good for MSU. His teams that we played against were always very tough.

Brad Stevens. Back to back national title games. No tournament this year.

Basketball is an extremely fluid sport with only 5 starters and so many early draft entries. Unless you are Duke, UNC, Kansas, etc, you will have down years, no matter how good the coach is. If you are doing well on the years the talent stacks up, your coach is good.

this. basketball teams will always have a down year.
