Miss St fans, Id like to hear what some of you think is the weak link on your team besides kicking.
Unknowns on OL. They haven't been terrible, but they haven't faced LSU.

So this may come down to which OLine steps up. We are fond of our DLine too

23/42 with 1 TD and 2 ints, for 5.1 yds/pass against Jacksonville State, so playing the meaningless stat comparison game I'd say LSU's pass defense is on par with JSU.
Fun facts:
- LSU has given up 149 yards passing in the 4th quarter of the two games they have played. They were leading by an average of 31 points.
- LSU has given up a total of 126 yards passing in the other 6 quarters combined.
- LSU has not given up a passing touchdown yet.
- Mississippi State has given up more rushing yards in the first half than they have in the 2nd half this season.
- Mississippi State has given up a rushing touchdown in the 1st half (1st quarter actually), but not the second half.
So, please, tell me again how it's only State's backups giving up the yards while LSU is somehow in trouble. I'll hang up and listen.

It absolutely will. Our line has performed ok, but we just don't know how good/bad they are. I can tell you this: State has a very good defensive front 7. As does LSU. It will be a very fun match up.

They looked good after settling down. We ran well and Fitz didn't get hit often. But until we play some better talent like we will this weekend, it's hard to judge.

Think Dear will play Saturday? I heard he could in certain points of the game but I doubt he does.

Had no problem when we put Hill and Lee in.

Dear is playing from what I heard. But it'll be very limited. Absolutely unreal for someone that tore his ACL in April. And he will be huge for the offense going forward.

a couple of things:
1.) LaTech lost a couple receivers to NFL, lost a monster stat QB...they are breaking in a bunch of young guys - was not hard to tell the O is young and needs time to develop.
2.) MSU has a ton of JUCO talent influx paired with an aggressive D coordinator - that defense looks so improved
3) that said in 2, LaTech found ways to open some holes and run the ball.
Tech was deflated - every damn turnover by their young QB was a backbreaker - they shoulda run the ball every play - would have at least kept the score respectable.
If LSU does not turn the ball over....prepare for

Better than LSU's. LSU allowed a few sacks ... MSU's OL hasn't allowed a sack yet.

That's the same thing I heard. It would be nice but don't wanna rush him in. No matter of the outcome, still got alot to play for.

I don't put too much thought about the past 2 games but it damn it's feel good to Joe Lee Dunn type defense back. We could have won 8 games last year with this d

If you can block for him, Hill will get yards against anybody.

I think 250 is the magic number we need to hit to win. You guys will stop the run early. It took Mullen a whole half to look to the pass instead of the run as the first option in 2015. He makes that adjustment after the first quarter instead of the 3rd and we win that game by double digits. QB still has to make the throws obviously.
Lol you start trying to air raid with Fitz against this defense and you are going to get picked off several times.

Fitz don't need 250. Balance is more important than yds. If Fitz has to throw more than 250, we are in trouble. He just needs to be consistent.
