Stupid article.
With that being said I would not care if we went to the Big 12. We would be a fit. Would enjoy beating the crap out of UT and OU and hear their fans cry.

The B12 is on life support with UT holding the DNR.
No, just no.
No, just no.

That would hurt LSU's Texas recruiting as well. A&M joining the SEC put a dent in it, but College Station isn't for everyone and Baton Rouge isn't much further. Some of those Texas kids aren't going to want to go all the way to Red Stick when they can stay close to home and still be in the Big XII
It would help LSU's Texas recruiting not hurt it. The Texas recruits could go to LSU and their families could watch them play multiple games every year in Texas.
It will kill LSU's recruiting from Georgia and Florida though.

Some LSU fans want out of the SEC?
Okay.
Some Bama fans poison trees and kill each other after losses.
Some Ole Miss fans are racist.
Some Arky fans have a brain.
Some Auburn players really attend class.
That doesn't mean these things are true for the majority.

I guess some people could see it that way, but if thats the case why not just stay home?

If LSU leaves Tulane will be brought in and within 5 years will be a power.

Tulane is a better school and has been in the SEC before... good call.

LaTech. They already contest some SEC teams pretty well.

Oklahoma is an all time top 5 program and it is not b/c Oklahoma has outstanding high school talent. They recruit Texas players.

Tulane is about to build a on campus football stadium. I doubt their 30,000 seat stadium is up to par for SEC standards.
Tulane is never coming back to the SEC. Louisiana Tech is the second best football program in the state right now.

Tulane would be the Vanderbilt of the West. They could eventually compete in every sport except football.

sorry but if y'all leave the conference is going to want to lock down NOLA and it will do so with Tulane.
too bad so sad if your LSU brain cant handle the truth.
they'd be brought in and the LSU decline would be irreversible.
also, you must not pay attention at all if you think La Tech is the second best program in Louisiana at the moment. Never mind that the SEC ain't ever gonna set up shop in a place like Ruston when 4 teams would get to travel to NOLA each year with the Wave.

The schedule isn't fair, but we don't want out of the conference. Florida has it worse than we do playing LSU and FSU every year, IMO.
Florida chooses to play FSU every year, and it has been LSU fans that have been calling it unfair that they have to play Florida ever year. Florida does not seem to be bothered by playing LSU every year.
This "LSU leaving" has been discussed often in the past. I don't think most LSU fans want to leave, nor do I think LSU is afraid of playing anybody. I DO believe some fans are tired of what they perceive to be bias towards Alabama.
However, this is brought on by Alabama's success past few years. If Alabama had been losing like they were before Saban, none of this would be an issue.
