In A Time To Kill Darby was a student at Tulane, not Ole Miss.

It's public knowledge from movie sources that the movie has clear pedo tendencies.
I've seen the movie. It's a comedic classic. I'm just relaying info straight from quoted movie sources.

Now, hold on Genro. The "Go Gamecocks" scrawled on the wall was part of the joke. Stiller gets picked up in a sting catching homosexual activity at a rest stop (based on actual facts
That's a direct written reference -- and way more than seeing a flag or wearing a t-shirt.
Wait ... this is mocking my team. Why am I arguing for this to be included????

I'm sure there are multiple inspirations but I think its more SMU than anything.
anyway
In Back to the Future II Marty has to get the sports almanac back from Biff. People tend to remember it was UCLA that wins a game (over Wash 19-17) when old Biff proves to young Biff the book is legit.
What many might not have picked up on is later in the film, Biff is listening to an update of top 10 college football scores after leaving the dance.
Those scores include
UCLA - 19
Washington - 17
Michigan St - 42
Minnesota - 14
Ohio State - 20
Iowa - 10
Michigan - 30
Indiana - 0
Notre Dame - 27
North Carolina - 7
OU - 52
Iowa St - 0
TCU - 47
Texas - 20
West Virginia - 7
Pitt - 26
Maryland - 25
Clemson - 12
Texas A&M - 20
Rice - 10

hey, you said if its mentioned...
they gave the score, its clearly audible, and those scores Biff is listening to are part of the plot line that moves the 2nd film.
extra bonus is that year's team was coached by Bear Bryant.

Ole Miss is referenced in the movie, "Mississippi Burning" by Willem Defoe's character, Agent Ward in a conversation with Agent Anderson played by Gene Hackman.
Ward: Let's get this thing straight. I haven't had a pimple in years, I shave every morning, I even go to the bathroom by myself, so you can quit the boss stuff. They put me in charge because I've been through this before.
Anderson: Birmingham? Montgomery?
Ward: Oxford. I was with Meredith at Ole Miss.

no way man, back to the future two is as prevalent as back to the future one or three. honestly i am just sad UGA couldn't make it to the 1955 score update

if it makes you feel better, they got the A&M/Rice score wrong
A&M actually won 20-12, not 20-10.
whats kind of super fan dorky is I've known the score was wrong since it came out on VHS b/c as an inquisitive kid I looked it up in an A&M media guide.

Isn't part of the Program filmed at South Carolina? Isn't their stadium the home field?
