Bryant, Neyland, Spurrier, and for the fourth, Dooley or Vaught. I would go with Dooley because I'm a Georgia guy and I think his overall contribution to the SEC would be greater, but I wouldn't go off the deep end if Vaught got the nod. Dooley had 201 total wins, 105 SEC wins, .715 winning %, 6 SECC's, 1 MNC, and coached 40 AA's in 25 years at UGA. Vaught had 190 total wins, 106 SEC wins, .740 winning %, 6 SECC's, and parts of 3 NC's, no idea how many AA's in 25 years at Ole Miss. They were 3 - 3 against each other.

Dooley's teams went to 20 bowl games in 25 years, Vaught's went to 18, but Vaught had a better bowl record than Dooley's 8-10-2, and it should be noted that 2 of those 10 losses were in games where UGA would've won an MNC.

Dooley would probably be more recognizable to fans today, but it's been a while since either coached.

Very close call, IMO.

Why is everybody assuming football only?

1. Bear Bryant
2. Skip Bertman
3. Spurrier
4. Leyland

I think that's the original context of the Rushmore argument from whenever it started (not referring to this thread), but that is a good point.

Taking that into consideration:

Bryant
Rupp
Summitt
Neyland

Others for consideration would be Bertman, Dan Magill, and Suzanne Yoculan (though being a whore might be enough to get her off this list).

Though it didn't get her canned as UGA gymnastics coach.
