1969 was a memorable Auburn/LSU game. The teams had not played for many years so this was the renewal of the series. LSU won the toss and elected to receive. Our old conservative coach, Cholly Mac, called a half-back pass play on the the first play from scrimmage.(actually, back up QB Jimmy Gilbert was lined up as a half back and three the pass to Andy Hamilton). Victory wasn't sealed until the fourth quarter when George Bevan blocked Auburn's XP attempt to tie the game.

2004, 2006, and 2010 were some of the most physical games I have ever seen.
2004 sticks out because I went into Jordan-Hare liking what I had seen in the previous games but wondering if we were physical enough to stand up to the defending national champs. We were. Walked out firmly convinced that no one was going to beat this team, and no one did.
1994 was the craziest game. LSU had dominated us all game. Thought it was over, but then Jamie started throwing the ball.

He called it too!
The Story Behind the Clip
Before Auburn faced No. 7 LSU in Baton Rouge in 2005, Irons stepped off the team bus, looked straight into a camera lens, and confidently predicted he would rush for 200 yards that night.
What makes the clip so famous is that Irons actually had no idea it would air on national TV. As he later revealed, he thought he was speaking exclusively to the Auburn team's internal video crew to generate hype for their private Friday night highlight reels. He even admitted he originally wanted to say 400 yards but scaled it back to 200 to keep it "modest". It turned out to be an ESPN camera, and his coaches were less than thrilled about the accidental public bulletin-board material.
Despite the pressure, Irons backed up his words perfectly. He tore through LSU's top-ranked defense for a career-high 218 rushing yards—including an explosive 74-yard touchdown run—becoming the first player to cross the 100-yard rushing mark against LSU that season.
The 74 yard run:

They would have postponed that game so quickly nowadays

2014 made me realize we were officially cooked with Miles. Brandon Harris deer in headlights.
