The coach did when he preferred he stay in the stands until he was needed.

On the contrary, Coach Bible called Gill from the stands. He was a former football player who chose to play basketball instead.

Yes, we made a statue of a bench-warmer.

Texas A&M's should be E King Gill (The 12th Man). You know, the guy that Coach Bible asked to come out of the stands to be ready to sub in if any additional players got hurt.

10/10, truly outstanding troll.

FWIW, apparently A&M is going to go statue crazy with the Kyle rebuild with as many as 20 statues around the stadium with a different theme for each side. For instance the Student side is going to have a huge statue of a line of Aggies "sawing Varsity's horns off", the North Entrance is going to have statues of moments in A&M football history like "The Hit" and when Aaron Wallace decapitated Andre Ware and held up his helmet to the crowd. The West side is going to focus more on A&M values and history.

I laughed at the Arkansas statue. And in all honesty I think the ours is probably the Johnny Vaught statue in front of the stadium.

That statue is historically inaccurate. It's missing the hundreds of National Guardsmen protecting him and the thousands of OM students throwing rocks.

To be fair, it's not like Chucky Mullins was an all-American or anything. It's about what he meant to the Ole Miss community. Same goes for the 12th man.

Do you know how much it would cost to build something like that?

That would be a pretty gigantic and detailed statue. Oh, and FIFY.

He wasn't naturally very talented, but he became a very feisty player and was very valuable

I'd say this one is probably just as Beloved at Mizzou. You're supposed to ride the Tiger before you graduate.

It's not. We have that money budgeted for huge coke parties (that you're not invited to).
