I know he isn't on your team anymore. I was saying losing him Atleast hurt your depth at wr.

Losing depth that was never really there is hardly losing depth.

Id like to put to death the myth that Bama's oline is better than LSU's.
We've got two of top 10 tackes in the NCAA and 900lbs of beef sandwiched in between. Why are they clearly better?

Their oline is better but not by much and LSU has more proven depth at oline.

They were slow fricks and shitty performers in NOLA in January. And your offense had 92 total yards.

Our O-line came back this year pretty much intact.

What myth are you talking about? Other than the one about TS...which has been well documented.

Oh yeah. I forgot you could judge the talent of a team/athlete based upon performance in one game. How silly of me.

Eta: with that logic, Richardson sucked because he had under 100 yds and 0 TDs on 11/5/11, RIGHT?

LSU oline did block for more rushing yards in a season and gave up less sacks. LSU also return 4/5 starter on our oline and gets a 6th out of Josh D

We've already established that Bama out-gained LSU on the ground last year, as well as through the air. Substantially through the air. Hopefully, Mett will live up to the expectations LSU fans have for him and make a game of it in November.

Additionally, the stats are not just predicated on a game or two between our respective teams in 2011...but of course, you probably would rather not go there.

Out gained=had more rushing yards which is not so. Furthermore, we out gained you last year with 8-9 people in the box EVERY week. If we had a QB with a pulse it wouldn't have been close.
Also, we gave up fewer sacks than you did, may be a result of fewer passing plays, but our QBs didn't suck because of a bad o-line. They sucked because they had no talent.

LSU beat out Bama by 48 yards with one extra game.

44 of those yards were by your punter on a trick play.

263 of those yards were by a QB you no longer have.

What does that have to do with the discussion at hand about the o-line? Or with the fact that our O-line had to play against a stacked box every game, which Bama did not?

Oh, and let's be sure to exclude the schedule which LSU faced compared to that of Bama. Because the talent of the opposing team makes no difference.

I guess it doesn't matter and we should just crown Bama's o-line as the best o-line, simply because they are at Bama.

You had more rushing yards due to having an additional game.

I argued about superior Bama stats last year as the year unfolded, and your fellow LSU brethren whined about the validity of those stats.

You signed your QB to a scholly and gave Bama folks shite in the summer of 2009 about the impending awesomeness of JJ. We had nothing to do with LSU's evaluation of QB talent nor the signing of same.

Sacks. Really?

Make up your mind as to whether you had a serviceable QB last year or not.

You sure Bama didn't play against a stacked box? Watch the Tennessee game then tell me. Bama had the best running back in the country being keyed on EVERY night by the opposing defense. What do you think they did when Richardson took the field?

All it took was Bama figuring out that everyone would key on Richardson to allow AJ to smoke LSU and the HB in the NC.

If you would like to just do RBs, Bama wins by the way. With one extra game for LSU. Or we can include your punter on a trick play as the difference between Bama and LSU's running attacks last year.
