And I've never seen a fanbase be so happy over getting one player in recruiting and having that excitement last months

I'm not mad at all, like I said it's actually pretty impressive. Even my wife rarely holds a grudge this long
But again, the kind of things said about Noil in the past here combined with the tone of this thread says its a lot more than mere trolling. Many LSU fans are still very bitter over this.
I was bad enough back in January that people were getting banned for bringing up the vitriol posted on the LSU recruiting board. The mods really tried to keep it from seeing the light of day.

Who said that?
When certain individuals start wishing failure, imprisonment, misfortune and death on a player and calling him a traitor just for leaving their state to go to college (and do so on a board consisting entirely of their own fans), its pretty tough to call it trolling. Its clear that some haven't moved on and some of that emotion can still be found here in this thread.
I'm sure some LSU fans in here are just trolling, but there are many who you can tell are still seething about Noil picking A&M over LSU. It was a serious hit to their pride.

So what's with all the silence? Speedy was pretty active on twitter and then it just stopped on July 21st. This whole situation is weird.

Well given the crime in question was committed on July 23rd, I'm not sure why that means anything.
