Mayes just attacked (that is how a match is supposed to be, not the stalling crap the 1st guys got away with). Too bad he didn't keep the major. That may come back to haunt Mizzou at the end!

I am 43 so I still remember when the Brand brothers were in HS & Gable was still coaching/competing in the Olympics breaux!

Where was Campbell out of? I knew most the Illinois boys from 90-94 (Back when the mythical #1 team in the Nation was constantly being split between Marist and New Lenox Providence....dayum Chicago area Catholic school recruiting teams)

I think he was from some small Iowa town. I don't think he was anything special as a collegiate wrestler, one year letterman in the late 80's if I recall

I believe same campbell(Wrestled at Iowa and was a bad mofo) was almost hired to be our wrestling coach a few years back. Just didnt get past the background check...

After he left Hoover he went out to Fresno, CA for a year before going to a HS in the Chattanooga area. Probably him.
Don't know where he is now or how successful he was when he left, but he was only at Hoover 2 years and we won state once.
