I think it's worse that he is willing to put the same product on the field week after week and expect different results.

He doesn't expect different results. He said last night that there's no magic dust to fix this season. He literally said nothing will change and we shouldn't expect different results. He literally admitted to mailing it in.

Maybe he should take his new wife and move to Florida and retire then. Doesn't sound like he has the energy or the willpower to overcome his own stubbornness anymore.

Pinkel is digging his own grave right now. The "new era" fans of Mizzou will not tolerate this shite to go on past this year. He's getting a mulligan here, but come next year if this team is still a shite show, adios.

Pinkel has been allowed to define "6 wins and a trip to Shreveport" as some sort of mark of success for so long now, I'm pretty sure he actually believes it and that he can keep telling the same fans that "Div Championships" are a mark of a big time program.

I haven't seen much evidence of this new era of fans but I hope you're right, this crappy looking offense has gone on for far too long now.

and he doesn't realize it, he literally DOESN'T HAVE A CLUE of what he's saying much of the time. "We aren't going to change what we do"(because we do what we do) and people have the gall to claim somehow Pinkel is under rated and it's even funnier that they act like he is somehow not replaceable.

Pinkel on Tyler Hunt -

quote:

"I get asked about him when he gets a 70-yard run. Nobody asked about him before that."

...which, by the way, is false. Fans have wanted Hunt since the beginning of the season.

This. If we have a losing season next year, that's 3 losing seasons in the last 5 years. That would be unaccaptable this late in his tenure.

We also have a new AD that we hired last year. Pinkel can't hold hands with Mike Alden anymore. Don't get me wrong he deserves another year and it would be stupid to fire him this year especially when he has turned it around before. Also way too many job openings this year. I don't want us to have to compete with all these other schools to get the right guy. He should get another year to turn this shite show around but if he doesn't...I think it's time. Pinkel is getting old and he may be losing his magic like Steve Spurrier or Frank Beamer did. Pinkel has won a lot of game for us and I'm grateful for that but at the end of the day we haven't been able to win the big game. We haven't been able to win the conference championship under Pinkel. 0-4 in the conference title game since 2007.

He scored on the illegal formation play. So he didn't really score.

Thanks I turned the TV off when we didn't go for it on 4th and the length of my dick in the 3rd.

actually I wanted Steward and Abbington, but then Steward is looking at another year of rehab and Abbington is in the dog house behind the dog house under neath the doghouse that Mauk was in.

The fact that Hunt actually showed a glimmer of even belonging on the field in an SEC game is the surprising part, that Pinkel refuses to use him in most of the game when it matters,, that's not so surprising.

he ran like a beast but much of it was the OLine mustering the ability to actually block for one play.

then it turned into the same redzone cluster monkey flop we are used to, 4 trys and couldn't get it across the line.

The 5 yard penalty killed it, they had to throw.

Not kicking a FG there was mystifying though.

I don't know, I figured that was as close we would get to the offense actually moving the ball across the line, whats mystifying to me is the way we run that corner fade over and over, it's like the new bubble screen.

When I was in junior high I could draw up better pass plays than this staff is capable of.

Everyone runs the corner fade from High School up to the NFL.

The problem is it's a timing route and requires receivers who are big, strong, and can catch.

Either Lock throws a shite fade or the receiver can't catch it.

Offense is just a mess, it literally needs 6 months of overhaul to get it to even respectable levels.

not only that it takes great concentration from the WR and a near perfect throw every time, I'm not complaining that we run it, I'm saying we run it like it's some bread and butter play that works every time when it doesn't and doesn't really come close. Then we ignore the middle of the endzone.

Like the bubble screen, Pinkel is like a little kid w/ a new toy, he runs the same play over and over and when it finally, after 500 trys, works, "wah lah! SEE SEE I KNEW IT WAS A GOOD IDEA!"

For whatever reason, he's not playing his best players this year.

As a result, he's lost the team and the fanbase.

The Hunt and Abbington stuff are all just symptoms of the disease.
