A lot of the "non online" fans still support him and the older part of the Twitter crowd that didn't grow up during the pinkel era are still on his side because they remember the level of absolute poverty program we were in the 80s and 90s.
The younger fans by in large see the writing on the wall but know we won't see results til next year by our spineless administration.

Anybody who has spent time on this board knows lefty has a legitimate learning disability.
Mizzou fans don’t want Eli fired. We are frustrated at the start of this season, but no one with even minimal brain function wants to fire the best recruiter in program history after 2 1/4 years (which have been better than Pinkel in the same time period btw)
This team sucks pretty bad though

The younger fans don’t remember when everyone saw the “writing on the wall” with Pinkel either.
Young people are generally pretty dumb, so we have to factor in that as well
