I'm just northeast of Bham, on the outskirts, but the growth is headed this way now.
And yeah on the honey.. gotta order in for a hive from a guy near Tannehill State Park, gotta call and see if it's ready to get. Nothin like fresh honey.. plus it's good for the allergies and home remedies.

There are 3-4 people that sell honey at the market here. One guy has a hive in glass that he'll bring in during the summer months for the kids to see. Thanks for reminding me - I'm out and need to get some tomorrow morning!

NP. Honey is expensive now. It's going anywhere from 8 to 12 bucks a quart around here. I figured I'd just buy a hive and raise my own colonies.. dad used to a long while back when I was young.. never thought I'd get back into farming some after all the griping I did about doing chores back then

My mom grew up on a farm, but I just visited for a few weeks in the summer. I own a condo, and don't have a yard - but if I did, I'd be growing vegetables. As it is, I grow fresh herbs in lots on my patio. I love to cook, and like having them around.
