Mullen won't go to Florida. Will he stay at State? Only time will tell that. He does seem to be pretty happy there. If any school makes a run at him this year and might have a shot, I think it would be Michigan.

But not Bogaloosa, those are the worst two cities in the western hemisphere, and that includes some real shitholes in South America.

Hell, MSU is starting a high school indirectly because of Mullen's concerns about Starkville Public Schools...

Can't speak to Ferriday

Starkville isn't even comparable to Baton Rouge.

Now you can compare Bogalusa. Starkville is absolutely better than Bogalusa. Hell, Tehran, and Mogadishu are probably better than Bogalusa.

He'd be an absolute fool not to leave for Gainesville. This season will never be repeated again at State. He's back to fighting for 8 win seasons once Dak leaves. At Florida he could bring back the offense of the Urban days and have them winning the East again

I hope we keep Dan - we may not. This is a new day in college football, particularly the SEC. Because of the money we are going to see more parity - similar to the NFL. Any SEC job, particularly the west, is a great opportunity for a coach. Money, prestige, recruits, the brightest lights and the biggest stage. I think fans of other conferences are rightly worried that the SEC has ascended to a whole new level. State is easily a top 20 coaching opportunity now.

Florida is similar to Texas and Michigan. Big schools who think they should win just because they are Florida, Texas and Michigan. It's not as easy as it used to be for the big schools.

Preparing for this week's toddykreig. Mainly -- I like tRant's OM fanbase more than the LSU crybabies that overrun this site.

You are right Starkville and Baton Rouge are not that comparable, one is a quite country college town and the other is a crime infested shithole.

Wow, that education is really working for you. LSU fans on a site called "Tigerdroppings" who would have figured that out.

Name 3 places that are worse than Starkville. You've got a week

Lets try...

1. Ferguson Mo.
2. Compton Ca.
3. Any Ebola stricken African country.

I'd put starkvegas ahead of those. but not by much.

Once, dark when I pulled in and left early so I did not get a feel for it but saw the potential.

Ask the residents of Baker, Central, Zachary, and even Saint Francisville etc. why they don't live in Baton Rouge anymore and see what they tell you.

Edit to add Ponchy is a cool little city, went to a wedding there recently and it has started to grow up since my last visit.

Correct. There has been 10 murders IN LSU's district 2 of Baton Rouge in the first 6 months this year. More than Starvkille has seen cumulatively since 2000.

The name of the site automatically ingrains crybaby fans? That's a new one on me. Keep going though -- you seem like a prime candidate to fit in well.
