ETA: I have since learned teams lose money on bowl games. Still DGAF.

Just an FYI, I used to work in college athletics, and most major programs break even or lose money on bowl games.

CBS doesn't seem to think Miss State is going to a bowl this season. Their SEC projections do not include Miss State. They do include BYU though.

Bowl projections are a step below draft projections. Not an exact science. I seriously doubt CBS even knows what an APR is.

All the bowl spots are filled is the point. There is no place for Miss State to even go bowling. Your season is over.

When a spot needs to be filled, they take the highest APR 5-7 team, regardless of conference.
Mississippi State is smart so we is in.

5-7 bowl game is embarrassing but it's just down right stupid to turn down an extra month of practice. Especially when it means that Fitz can work on his passing.
