Yeah, Mississippi players. It's not like he is snagging players from Memphis or North Carolina.

FAIL

Dee Bost is From North Carolina and Transfer PF Arnett Moultrie is from Memphis

We have a commitment from 4star G Craig Sword from Montgomery, AL. We are bringing European player to go along with the 4star and 5 Star in state players.

You know what I mean. It involves a lot of high post screen and rolls/pops by big men, and also cross screens on the blocks. It hasnt changed in 10 years.

Didn't notice that, but he still didn't have offers from the two big North Carolina schools.

they are talking like the Euro will start at the 3 over Hood by SEC play.

And yes, Stands has no actual offense- just ballscreens and standing around

Coonass, why don't you think Dan is playing the recruiting game like he should with resources?

2 reasons why:

1. The Cam Newton situation was hovering, so he wanted to go clean for this season to see how things turned out.

2. This isnt his final job- he wants one of the big jobs- so he isnt going to chance messing that up. He thinks he can recruit well enough without getting dirty and still win 8-10 games.

Arnett Moultrie was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. After his coach went to Auburn he wanted to transfer from UTEP, and Arkansas, Kentucky, and Mississippi State all recruited him as a transfer and we got him.

He is a Memphis kid, and Stans has recruited other Memphis area kids like the Delk Twins, Barry Stewart, and Jarvis Varnado. He also has recruited Nashville getting Jamont Gordon and Jalen Steele.

He doesnt have to recruit nation wide, he can get his players from Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, and Louisiana.

Those particular schools typically recruit nationally.

They don't get the instate players that often. Nc St. is more likely to recruit instate.

Jalen Steele

Jalen Steele is from Knoxville, not Nashville. Did not even come close to getting a Tennessee offer and he played 5 minutes away from campus.

Not shite, but you still didn't get him out of Memphis. He only had 1 offer out of HS anyway.

There's a difference between getting a kid from the heart of Memphis, and getting kids 100 miles away from Memphis. None of those players you mentioned are from Memphis or really even close to Memphis, and only Varnardo had a Memphis offer.

Oh, and at using Barry Stewart as an example.

1. Stewart's hometown is 200+ miles away from Memphis

2. His offer list consisted of Miss St, Austin Peay, Eastern Kentucky, Lipscomb and Middle Tennessee St

I'll give you Jamont Gordon, but not Jalen Steele. Steele was from Knoxville, and didn't even get a Tennessee offer, plus besides Miss St his only other good offer was from Auburn. The others were Charleston, Wright St and Marshall.

If there is a big-time player in North Carolina they will go after them. Dee Bost is a good player and all, but Duke nor North Carolina miss him, both have won National Titles since he came to Miss St.

And he dropped 17 on Kentucky as a freshman. I really like this kid and think he will be a good player for us over the next 3 years.

Mississippi native scholarship players
Renardo Sidney 5 star
Rodney Hood 5 star
Deville Smith 4 stat
David Gardner 4 star
Shaun Smith 3 star

Commitments
Gavin Ware 4 star
Fred Thomas 3 star ( will be 4 soon)

Recruiting
Devonta Pollard 5 stat

Why rely on out of state with that much talent in your own back yard.
