Mullen will realize this year that you move when the stock is high, although I do doubt he had any official job offer because I honestly think he would've taken it.

Looking at these games, I don't see State winning any:

LSU
Bama
Arky (at Little Rock)
Georgia (in Athens)
South Carolina

That's five losses there. Add in an Auburn or Ole Miss knocking them off and it's going to be utterly embarrassing for a fanbase that's pounded their chest in the preseason for finishing fifth in the West.

At least when Ole Miss was hyped we finished second in the West the year before and went to a top tier SEC bowl game. State on the other hand got the #6 tie in game (out of 9 games)

Which are you madder about, Ole Miss being so shitty, or State being pretty good?

You have this figured out...

I'll have to check but I do not believe Ms. State has been picked to finish higher than fourth in the west, which will be the first time to finish that high for them in a while, if it happens.

Is State "pretty good"? "Pretty good" teams have a tendency to beat more than one team from their division in the SEC...

I didn't know we had started the season yet. I remember a certain preseason in which many believed State was headed towards a certain bowl game and even a reporter got dealt a nickname for it in which he still holds.

Here's a topic for you: When has State ever had a successful year after they were hyped to?

First...State needs to have back to back winning seasons for a change. Second...State needs to actually win some games in the West and not rely on a down East division. Need to accomplish this all before you can say State is pretty good.

Just got a tweet saying that Channing Ward elected not to go to Ole Miss' camp today.

He was at State yesterday for the third time this summer. He ran a 4.49 at 255lbs.

Why the hell would you put up those highlights Bundy? Good God, he might be a 4.4 kid out of pads, but is slow as shite in them. He apparently has zero coaching either talk about some awful fundamentals. I know that can be fixed though, but damn Port Gibson looks awful, fundamentally anyways. Watching him drop back into coverage is hilarious. The motherfricker falls down several times when no one has touched him. Not really hating on him just the fact that you thought his highlights would impress us

Honestly I like Ole Miss the entire year except for the egg bowl

shite I cheer for them, the Egg Bowl blows fricking dick when it is just one of us trying to ruin the others bowl game

I want one egg bowl to actually matter, instead of my tailgate before the game just being a competition to see who can get the drunkest

Well we would still do that but the game would be more interesting

I know quite well the fall from grace, being an Ole Miss fan, and it's apparent what State is about to have to go through.

The realization that their coach is not the next Joe Paterno/Bear Bryant, and State is still the doormat in the SEC West.

Barnes had the best time of anybody at our camp. I think he redshirts and works with our staff and will develop into a solid player for us.

Who is supposed to commit to Ole Miss today???

I wouldn't exactly call Grindle a diamond in the rough.

The hardest part of the realization will be that just because a player is from Miss. and decides to play for State doesn't mean they are good enough to produced the desired result.

Arkansas fans had a problem with Petrino passing on several in-state kids to take an out of state kid who "is similar". Of course no-one mentions when the Arkansas kid goes to another school and rides the bench there while the out of state kid is a serious cog in the system...

I agree with this statement. At least get back on the same level as the late 90s when both teams were at least winning 7 or 8 games a season.
