with classes barely cracking the top 50 piggie. He can have top 25 classes in Starkville possibly better

you are a fricking dumb arse bro. Leach’s system can and will work in the SEC.
It wasn’t even sustainable in the Pac12.
I’m not sure what to tell you. He’s entertaining, but he will be run out of town within 4 years.

States place teams far more talented than the pac12.
Just tap the brakes. I love the guy but expectation is getting to amount no one can live up to.

That’s all relative. Sure, he may recruit inside the Top 25 at MSU. But that still leaves you with one of the least talented rosters in the conference.

And if memory serves me correctly, the Air Raid at UK went 0 for X against Florida and Tennessee in the Mumme era.
Ironically the biggest win for Mumme/Leach in the SEC would probably have been topping eventual West champion MSU in Starkville. The locker room made quite an impression on Leach iirc

One of the least talented rosters in the conference just raped one of the best on the road with no spring practice. Please shut the frick up.

they set sec records with far less talent than state is getting now and that’s what people aren’t understanding. He was recruiting in the 50s at Wazzu. He can recruit inside the top 25 in Starkville easily.
Actually, Washington State is ranked #74 in the 247 team talent composite rankings, and there are 65 power 5 teams total.... MSU, on the other hand, is ranked #23, that's a massive gap.

What is your litmus test for success for Leach? How average can he be and MSU fans be satisfied? Perhaps you and I are simply on different pages when you said it will work here.

I think he could be around a while at Miss State. But I think people also have to realize Leach is who he is. He’s going to knock some teams off he shouldn’t, but he will have some dumbfounded losses as well. He’s never won a division title in nearly two decades as a head coach. Yes, he has more access to talent but that is relative in the SEC West. That all being said, he makes things interesting every week.

8+ a year easily and possibly a West win here and there. It is very possible. LSU will be rebuilding soon. Gus won’t last. Saban has 5ish more years. Aggie is our son. Leach will have us finishing really well regularly

they had more 5 star corners than we have 5 stars on our roster
Flott 3 star
Evans 0 stars (transfer from Nichols St)
Ward 3 star
Ricks 5 star (true freshman)
Those were the corners who played
Stevens was a 5 star but he lined up at LB on about 70% of his snaps Saturday
Todd Harris is a 5th year senior S, former 4 star, who missed last season w an ACL tear and has never been good at the college level. He’s the guy you saw completely whiff on the tackle on the RB
Not saying it can’t or won’t work but I wouldn’t use the LSU defense on Saturday as a barometer either

Jesus, what a piss poor and unsubstantiated take. Were you picking your nose in grade school when you learned about transitive properties, or have you not got there yet?

It's new and novel (for now) and Bo Pelini apparently forgot the basics of defending against the air raid. It can be limited and it will be eventually.
Just glad we didn't get MSU first and have some film to study.

we have 1 five star player currently on our roster.

I’d say that’s reasonable.

Kentucky has had better success with Rich Brooks and Mark Stoops. And records set? For who? Kentucky or in general? And records are nice and all but I think they probably would rather win more than throw for a million yards.

The same was said about Ed Orgeron and Gus.
