I was just in Dallas a couple of weeks ago for a Rangers game. While I was there, I took a tour of the Cowboys Stadium. It's incredible. Can't wait for LSU to play a game there.

seriously though, it'll be a lot tougher for Bama to pull kids out of Dallas than it is Atlanta. more competition from big programs and further distance.

We're never going to consistently sign kids out of Texas, but we can find the Damion Squares and DeAndrew Whites from time to time. As long as we're on their radar, we have a chance. Playing a game in Texas, as well as playing the 'Horns in the BCS NCG, will help a lot.

Hell, you probably did when we had Shula at the helm.

Well, Alabama was ranked as high as #3 in the country in late 2005. So, forgive me if I thought there might be a chance then.

4. It is a huge grudge match. The 2000 Orange Bowl was won by Tom Brady's Michigan over Alabama by an overtime missed extra point by Bama

I was at that game talked to Bill curry at our tailgate he was doing the game for ESPN radio
I also went to the Bama/UM game in the Hall of Fame bowl(now outback Bowl) in the old big sombrero in Tampa 1987 we lost both

Saban is going there when they fire RichRod.
This is NOT far fetched. Solid observation.

Anyone know if this contract was signed yesterday? Or was this all just a rumor?

All rumor at this point but Michigan is one of many teams being considered from what I was told.

Can't all y'all see that this is all part of a big conspiracy to destroy the Big 12?

Arkansas playing two games in the JerryDome against -- Texas A&M (the team rumored to be the the SEC's 13th member)
LSU playing in the JerryDome -- strengthening its recruiting ties in Texas
Now possibly Alabama -- no question one of the historical powerhouses in college football -- making its move into Texas

Denard Robinson will be a senior then. Should be a great game bertween 2 quality teams. I agree I like home and home better, but this is made for TV. Also for the next two years, Saban and RR get to brag to recruits that they will get to play Michigan/Bama in the best sports stadium on Earth. It's a win/win.
