Well I don't subscribe to a morality that is only concerned with how things affect me, personally. I believe in a Biblical morality that reflects the character of God, and that character doesn't change. Therefore, what God deems a sin is sinful regardless of how it personally affects me.

In other words, I'm being consistent by loving what God loves and hating what God hates. In this case, God hates sin, so I hate sin, as well, especially my own, because I know it is offensive to God.

If someone insulted someone you loved, would you not feel offended? Same sort of concept, I guess.

He should have had Wormser (a master of aerodynamics) engineer the bar to complement Sam's limp-wristed lifting style

No arguments here. He's a bigger name than he should be just because of the media shite storm about him recently.

I completely agree

Otherwise he would've been relatively unknown and lowly regarded during the draft process

I disagree with this statement 100%. Dude was the SEC DPOY, and would have hardly been "unknown"

Former winners of the award include;

2012: Jarvis Jones: Round 1 Pick 17
2011: Morris Claiborne: Round 1 Pick 6
2010: Patrick Peterson: Round 1 Pick 5
2009: Rolando McClain: Round 1 Pick 8
2008: Eric Berry: Round 1 Pick 5
2007: Glenn Dorsey: Round 1 Pick 5
2006: Patrick Willis: Round 1 Pick 11
2005 David Pollack: Round 1 Pick 17
2004: Chad Lavalais: Round 5 pick 142

As you can see 8 out of the past 9 players to win the award were first round picks with the exception being Lavalais. I'm not implying that just because you win the award that you should be drafted in the first round, but there are definitely expectations that come with winning that award and he would have been far from "unknown"

Back on topic: I think that stuff will hurt his draft stock.

Sure, he may not have been high on anyone's radar prior to the media frenzy, but I think all of that attention was going to hurt him if he didn't make up for it with an outstanding combine performance. If he doesn't show out, he may be seen as more of a liability than an asset to NFL teams.

IMO he will be an undrafted free agent which will is potentially better for him. I did not expect him to put up outstanding numbers at the combine by any means, but his performance has left much to be desired. Maybe he puts on a clinic at his pro day and is back in the 5-7 round after those workouts, highly unlikely but it could happen.

That's what I'm thinking. When the fiasco started, there were a lot of questions about whether or not his "status" would be a distraction to the team who picks him. If a franchise doesn't want that sort of attention or potential distraction in their locker room, they may not want anything to do with him unless he amazes with his performance.

So yeah, he may become a very late round draft choice or, more likely, become an UDFA and earn a spot somewhere.

Seriously, not even trolling, this guy's Combine sucked balls, he only hurt his stock. Was they gay thing just a publicity move to get people to talk about him, b/c he knew that the Combine results were going to make everyone forget about him.

He wasn't a Top Performer (or even in the Top 12) of ANY drill/measurement.

Being totally honest... Everything broke right for Sam this year. He piled up sacks early, defenses adjusted accordingly, and the sacks all but dried up. But all those early sacks put him on the radar and carried him to SEC POY.

Kony Ealy is a better player with better skills, which is being acknowledge in the draft status of both.

WHAT!?!?! That doesn't happen, defenses don't adjust to players based on their past great performances. The next thing you know you'll be saying he was double teamed or some bullshite.

Great players beat double teams.

Michael Sam isn't great.

If J-Clowney couldn't beat double teams, he isn't great either.

Most of the stats that made Sam the defensive player of the year were against poor competition. Whenever he went up against a quality opponent, he disappeared. Kony sp? was more impressive to me

If I were an NFL team the only hesitation I would have in drafting him would be the media circus. I woudln't really care if he were gay but I wouldn't want to have to deal with the f'ing media hovering around my program talking about his gayness 24/7.
