What?

Nobody has been this excited about an LSU quarterback since Perrilloux, and the only reason he didn't light it up on the field after Flynn left is because he was a dumbass and decided toking with his boys was a better option than playing football at a top SEC school

I remember a time when every upcoming Bama QB was going to be the next big thing. I think this fanbase has matured, and we continually take a wait-and-see attitude. I remember feeling that way with GMAC and McCarron.

LSU fans remind me of Bama fans of old, fully convinced that this guy who has yet to take the field is the absolute answer. And he may be, but for now he's a huge question mark.

If your program just finished 4 years of JJ and Lee, you would be just as excited as we are.

It doesn't matter how good Mett is, he will be a hell of a lot better than what we've had here the last 4 years.

Good point. Mettenberger is definitely an upgrade, but it will take him time to adjust to the game speed of the SEC. If he manages the offense without making mistakes, LSU will be just fine.

Until Nov 3rd.

I'm bad at this? I quoted the best safety in the nation in the NCAA...that carries weight. If you had the best secondary in the nation and your best player in the secondary said they can't defend mccarrons passes I'd be worried for LSU..you need to learn to give respect where it is due. I would think he would earn you're respect after making the game changing play last November and lead the team in tackles for that game, or came close to it...you're the one who needs to learn a few things and come back when you do... Bad boy

After JJ and JL those are pretty good. All we need out of him is to be decent. The running game and the defense will do the rest.

True, and the club will be fine. But honestly I'm really looking for a huge year from him. Hope it pans out.

He practices against one of the best/fastest D's in CFB. I doubt speed of the game will be an issue.

Yeah, he did well in spring game. Had to make adjustments becuase guys 'weren't open', and did fine. Stud talked about him trusting the receivers and putting the ball to where they should be. "We wouldn't have tried those passes before" I think he said.
