former wide receiver Drake Davis – was not expelled until four months after he was convicted of physically abusing a former girlfriend.

he was kicked off the team before he was expelled from school.

The university disciplined two of them

were all 9 allegations credible? What happened to the cases not involving Davis in the sheriff's dept/court system?

That report is filled with years of cover up by LSU.

No, it isn't.

It's filled with years of neglected responsibility despite being warned by multiple outside entities that there was trouble brewing.

It was fundamental incompetence at the very highest levels of university leadership. The report makes it clear that other departments in the university were worse than athletics with heads demanding that their subordinates report nothing to anyone other than them and retaliating against those that did so.

If anything, other than Les turning out to be a creeper, athletics comes off a little better because they at least tried to do a few things like bringing in outside consultants to conduct training and since Woodward's been there they've been going by the book.

It's a huge deal because tomorrow it won't be women coming forward about athletes. It's going to be women coming forward telling about the trouble they had in the chemistry, arts, math, and all the other departments.

Not going to be a fun time at LSU for a while and they're probably going to be entering into a lot of settlement negotiations.

LSU suspends two assistant athletic directors (247Sports)
quote:

On Friday morning, LSU announced that assistant AD Verge Ausberry will be suspended for 30 days and assistant AD Miriam Segar will be suspended for 21 days. The announcement comes as LSU released an extensive report by the firm Husch Blackwell that revealed findings from an independent investigation of how LSU handled allegations of sexual and domestic assault in years past.

They are being suspended based on Husch Blackwell's findings which stated both have failed to properly handle reports of sexual misconduct and domestic violence among student-athletes. Ausberry and Segar will be required to undergo training in regard to how to deal with domestic and sexual violence.

The investigation also found that LSU's Title IX office, which is meant to handle cases of sexual assault and domestic violence, has been under-resourced and understaffed for years.

Yesterday, accusations emerged that former football coach Les Miles texted various female students, took them to his condo alone, made them feel uncomfortable and, on at least one occasion, kissed a student. The investigation did not find that Miles had sexual relationships with any of the women, but did define the behavior as “inappropriate,” according to USA Today.

The report states that Miles strongly denies kissing the woman mentioned in the investigation. According to USA Today, Miles believes he did, “nothing wrong and was simply mentoring young women at the university.” Furthermore, Miles is also accused by athletic department staff of saying that female student workers helped pursue top recruits to choose LSU, “needed to be attractive, blonde and fit,” according to USA Today.

USA Today reports that LSU issued Miles a letter of reprimand and required him to sign forms that said he read and understood the school’s policies. He was ordered to stop hiring co-eds as babysitters, could no longer be alone with them and was forced to attend eight, one-hour sessions with an attorney, paid for himself, according to the report.

The news of Miles’ specific accusations comes just hours after it was reported that Miles had ended his legal bid to prevent the public release of the 2013 investigation that cited these accusations. Miles’ attorney explained the decision in a statement.

“Quite simply, Mr. Miles cannot defend himself against the inaccurate and unfair media attention that this matter has received during the past week without citing the report’s findings and conclusions,” wrote his attorney, Peter Ginsberg.

LSU still has objections to the release of the records, which must be resolved by the court.
