I think somewhere around the first season after beating Notre Dame I jumped on the Avery bandwagon, then nearly jumped off after a disappointing loss to UGA in his second season, and then accepted reality after last year's late season collapse.
I can't stand it. Too much to ask for a simple HC with a decent offensive mind and some knowledge of basic fundamentals. Gottfried couldn't coach a lick of defense and became unmotivated; Grant has no clue what an offense looks like; and Avery is too inconsistent.

Has finished ahead of LSU in the conference standings in 2 of the 3 seasons he’s been here.
