if you want to have your head in the sand then by god do it. you'll probably enjoy the season a helluva lot more than i will but by God if you think this program is under the right leadership to lead Georgia to the promised land then you are no worse than the dolts who hired Houston Nutt. until then, you can be content with mediocrity and i will continue to want more for Georgia.

I dont have my head in the sand. But I will support Richt because he is winning. And as far as HDN goes it was a terrible hire. He doesnt give a shite about our team or winning. CMR at least tries to win games. IMO, if I were CMR I call the plays against UF, its not like he needs to make any big time Defensive decisions like he did when Wille was there. CMR will get yall to ATL. I predicted 9-3 after the USCe loss. We will see if I am right

agreed... I'm not happy with a lot of shite going down in Athens right now but it could be a helluva lot worse Grantham has issues but he's been the lone bright spot in Athens over the last 3 years. I just don't get the venom towards CTG. Preach on about CMR, I agree he's a tard, but I gotta disagree on CTG...

he improved our defense to become an average unit. ok, that's great and all but how many times has our defense been puzzled? how many times have we been quick snapped? a ton is the answer, and if you look it is because the play has yet to come in.

GT, AU, UF, Boise, Vandy were all terrible called games. where are grantham's great games? maybe he isn't terrible, maybe i am going to far, but he is average at best and with all the off the field shite he continually brings on Georgia i don't see where it is worth it.

everyone here answer me this one question, that is all i ask

Who here thinks Mark Richt can win a National Title at Georgia?

but the whole reason Bobo is our OC is because our entire fan base got sick of richt's vanilla play calling and richt wanted to become the Bobby Bowden CEO. so now we revert back to an old issue?

and hell despite all my bitching i see us going 9-3, i mean a damn monkey could coach us to 9-3

Or you could not want your Freshman tailback that has been banged up to get even more banged up before the UF game.

doesn't matter if you keep your only viable run threat off the field and you lose to vandy and thus the east

and i give him a break for the 1Q because he suspended him for that

it really doesn't get more embarrassing for someone that is suppose to be in the big 6 than to have boise come in and rape you in your own back yard.

this boise team would tap out in the first quarter vs LSU or bama.

while i disagree on the whole tapping out business i agree that Richt and the staff were completely unprepared as was the team and that game was an embarrassment to the program. i don't care about SEC prestige

but there are so many other things you could throw at richt

Well, one of you will likely have to play them in the Sugar Bowl backyard so I guess we'll find out. I'll bookmark anyway.

Spare me. LSU didn't have Tennessee tapping out in the first half and they were decimated with injuries.

kellen moore would probably ask to be pulled from the game vs us or upshaw will kick him until he leaves the bama game.

I think he is capable of winning a NC. Just see 2007. Everyone needs a break here or there. CMR didn't get it. So 2002 and 2007 which means 2012 is our next year to hit it big. Right?

I'm not saying it's probable, but it's ignorant to say it's impossible.

ETA: Ignorant is too strong of a word...silly?

We have like 30 other threads going about it, so it's only a matter of time before they break this one too

there is honestly no way in hell boise could stay with either team. they aren't that good, the only hope they have of beating two of the greatest teams ever would be that team being deflated because they didn't get in the nc and even then i doubt they win.

2002 was unlucky, absolutely, but 2007 was his own doing. i know LSU had 2 losses but what does that matter? the fact is we lost to a 6-6 USC team and an average UT team by 21. we, IMHO, had the best team in 2007 and it had to play Hawaii because of those mistakes.

good coaches make their own luck. also, the game has changed since then. i don't richt is a bad coach, i think he came in and was one of the best but while the rest of the SEC got better and coaches either came in or adapted while richt remained the same and now he is the same as he was in 2001 but everyone else is on another level. i like richt, really, no one can tell cause as a HC i hate the guy, but as a person he is great and if i could see him leading us to where we should be i'd be more patient. i just cannot see it.

i never said it was impossible, i just wanted to know who here honestly feels deep down with all their heart that mark richt can and will win us a title if he stays. i see us bringing him back for 2012 only to do this same song and dance until we finally cut our losses.

Same was said against Oklahoma. I don't think they'd win either, but to say there's "honestly no way in hell" is stupid

maybe, maybe not, sadly we will just have to wait and see. i'd like to think that the SEC team doesn't come in with it's arse on it's shoulders like you said or like bama did in 2008.

i just think boise could give it a helluva fight but i am not convinced enough to argue it

And then we barely beat a Vandy team and stomped at midfield (fairly classless act)....Interesting.

For the record, you and i agree on the whole CMR thing and, for the most part, everything related to the Dawgs (minus Grantham)
