EdTV was directed by Ron Howard. That's not b grade. Howard hasn't done B-grade since he was in his twenties doing his first film for Roger Corman.
Almost all of those other films, even if critically panned, he was acting with A list actors at the time.
He got huge money to do those films
J-LO was in her prime and anything she touched was gold when he did The Wedding Planner. Opened no. 1 at the box office.
How to Lose a guy in Ten Days also opened no. 1 at the box office.
Failure to Launch opened no. 1 at the box office.
Fool's Gold opened no. 1 at the box office.
Sahara opened no. 1 at the box office. Starred with Penelope Cruz.
Reign of Fire was a soft flop but starred with Christian Bale.
There's nothing there that says this guy is a B list actor.

I've maybe seen two of those films. But just because I don't shop at Target doesn't mean it's not a successful chain of stores.

MM loves his university and his football team. If we had a guy with that kind of fame supporting ours, we'd love him.
No doubt, Texans are arrogant and think they are better than they are. Football team's historical place and current place is exaggerated by them.
