Not Masoli. No way.

Hell, I can't blame him. I would have done the same thing. Also, I don't see any problem with OM trying to get him on the team this year, we were in a tight spot. Now we are only back where we started from, and I'm completely ok with that...

I'm not saying I'm completely ok with that, but I'm not that upset about it.

I dont' blame him or ole miss for doing exactly what they did. They had to do something.

What was Tig dismissed for?

extremely valid argument and I can respect that.

But one glaring hole in that argument is that Tig Barksdale was dismissed from Ole Miss(again) this summer and is now suiting up for jax'ville State this weekend.

I'm assuming that the NCAA has the same rules for FCS programs that they have for FBS programs.

The rules are different between under-grad and post-grad.

Masoli could transfer down to FCS level and play immediately.

Ole Miss could screw Tig by not releasing the proper paper work to Jacksonville State in a timely matter for NCAA review/ruling. Tulsa did this to a player who transferred down do the D-II level, he's having to redshirt now as their first game is tonight and the school received the proper paperwork yesterday afternoon.

Has been dismissed once I believe and left for his "own" reasons a couple times. I'm pretty sure he was forced to leave...

"violating team rules" was the official release but it was much more serious than your run of the mill missing classes, practice, etc.

Tig was a classic case of too much swagga for his own good...

Ole miss was far too worried that by putting him in the pre-game player introductions, the Video Board would become too top-heavy and fall over.

yeah, because you know more about OM sports than I do. When Masoli came to us when we had Cotton, we publicly denied him. Then after Cotton left, Masoli came to us again and we accepted him due to having only 2 QB's.

This board is getting worse by the day
