No. I'm the pot reminding the kettle that it's just as black as I am.
I'm just bringing truth, not pointing fingers.

We now have the best practice team qb in the nation!
Do you really think he will stay around and pay his own way for a year?

Ole Miss is one of the few schools in the nation allowed to grow legal marijuana on campus. I wonder if parks and recreation is in charge of that?

Nope. You can apply for the waiver, but you still have to convince the NCAA that the reason you are transferring is for academic and not athletic reasons.
Correct. The NCAA site says:
"The waiver exists to provide relief to student-athletes who transfer for academic reasons to pursue graduate studies, not to avoid disciplinary measures at the previous university."
Considering he was already enrolled in an UO graduate program by its May 7 deadline, and kicked off the team on June 9, it would be pretty hard to convince anyone that UO really didn't have the graduate program he wanted to participate in.

Damn, the NCAA got the final piece of documentation from Ole Miss yesterday and made the decision today. They really did screw the Rebs over by waiting until four days until the season starts to spring this on them.

During Nutt's first two years at Arkansas, he did very little in the way of recruiting a high quality quarterback. There were 8 QBs listed on the depth chart in 1999. By the fall of 2000, that number was down to 3. He had two of his recruits the fall of 2000... Zak Clark and Robby Hampton. That's when he had to get John Rutledge (had been a fairly decent walk-on for a couple of years)off an intramural team for that fall. We limped through the year with 3 injured QBs. Zak Clark played some with an injured ankle. Rutledge played some. McBride had an ACL injury and Hampton had a shoulder injury. Matt Jones came along in 2001.
I see a similar situation with Ole Miss now. It's just not as critical because there are 2 healthy, decent QBs. How do these situations come about? The reason it happened at Arkansas in 2000 was because Nutt didn't replace the QBs we were losing in 1999 with decent talent.
I seriously hope this situation doesn't get worse like it did with us in 2000.

He's stuck his neck out along with another SEC university, more damage had been done.

Dude. Really? I expect better from someone in Germantown.
And by the way, you REALLY need to check your facts on Means. Logan Young make have thrown a couple of bucks U of M's way, but he was a big time lifelong Bama booster. Check ANY article about how that all went down.
