Off topic but...
What the actual frick is the deal with OU claiming last year's Big 12 Title? Kansas State won the Big 12. I think they had the same conference record but KSU won the head to head. OU shouldn't have to resort to shite like this, very A&Mish.

Yea and having Paul Petrino is the same as having Bobby Petrino.
Mark is a great coach. Paul is mediocre at best.

How do you win as a coordinator exactly?
When you have full control over your side of the ball and do a great job with it.

Calling Paul Petrino mediocre is very generous. He's absolutely fricking terrible.
Calling Mark Stoops great is also very generous at this point. He may be, but he hasn't proven anything as a HC yet.

I was trying to be generous to him but yes you're right.

I agree but he was a great coordinator and seems to have built up some genuine excitement at Kentucky. That's something that hasn't happened for quite some time.

Stoops has the benifit of seeing what happen in Arizona with Mike while also having the advice of 12 year veteran Bob Stoops. He is also very experianced himself and is the best defensive guru of the family.

How can you say that? Mike Stoops had a #1 defense at Oklahoma in 2003. And several other top defenses while he was DC in Norman. Bob Stoops had several top defenses at Kansas State and Florida in the 1990s. Mark Stoops actually has far less experience as a coordinator before getting his first head coaching job.

Because he is a Kentucky fan and they hired Mark Stoops.

Come on Cheezy, I aint that low.
The reason I say that is because Mark has shown greater improvement on the defensive side of the ball at places hes traveled to vs bob. Look it up that stats show it.

Under Stoops, FSU's defense led the country with 236.3 yards allowed per game entering Saturday's game with Florida. Stoops, Arizona's defensive coordinator from 2004-09, is a finalist for the National Defensive Coordinator of the Year award.

That stat's a little misleading. Florida exceeded that average on the ground alone and they were a terrible offense.
Wake Forest, Boston College, Maryland and Florida were 100th or worse in total offense. Murray St and Savannah St were FCS teams with losing records.
The best statistical offenses they faced all year were Clemson and an overmatched Northern Illinois team that had no business being in a BCS bowl.
I have no doubt Stoops is a solid DC and he did a good job with the talent at FSU, but that defense was rarely ever challenged last season.

this thread is full of absolutely retarded statements by UK fans, y'all should stick to basketball, but I suppose after this year y'all are looking at other sports

OP is great at making exaggerated comparisons with unrealistic expectations.

Not all Kentucky fans have made statements in this thread, however absurd.
Using the "word" "y'all" twice in one line absolutely qualifies as absurd though.

Fair enough.
Ridiculous predictions or not, your threads are always entertaining.
