It didn’t seem like it with Pruitt either. I think Saban tried to build up Tosh to keep him on as a recruiter but it just didn’t work. You can see with the staff changes there is a lot more balance. I’m expecting the defense to be way better coached this year.

Part of me is like thats cool, he plays with an edge, has an attitude(i can relate). Other half of me says yeah they really tend to let those go against Bama players. Sucks but it is what it is. The punches that didnt draw a flag was absolutely absurd. Lol

yeah, you're right, Alabama clearly doesn't have defensive football coaches on their staff to compare with the NFL.

I know it is a lot to expect from a college coaching staff. I am just saying I can see a difference in the coaching from a few years ago. They used to marvel at how well coached Bama's defensive players were upon arriving to camp. Now they are saying they have to catch them up.

I totally agree. A lot of people said Mack was a selfish player last year, but maybe it was just that the coaching was off with Tosh. There has definitely been a slide in our defense. Nothing like the defense 5 years ago.
