Lacy has that deep bruising kinda of running going for him. I can see him trucking Ray Lewis like a pitbull going through a pug after a steak when he sees the endzone. Gotta go with Bama, just because of Lacy.

Did you just claim that Lacy could truck Ray Lewis?

experience isn't as important when it comes to running backs. every year you see freshmen running backs have great seasons all around the country.

it's rare you see a first year starting QB tear it up in the SEC.

Tim Tebow and Cam Newton say hi

I don't think twice in five years qualifies as rare

The last three National Champs have been from the SEC, and first year starters at QB.

However, one thing people keep forgetting when they talk about Mett being a first year starter and the last three NC winners having first year QBs :

The last three BCS Champs have been schools in the state of Alabama. If you can think the starting QB statistic would be the same, why not think this would remain the same?

You're comparing Mettsiah to Cam and Tebow?

Because after you lose to LSU again this year you won't get another chance.

Did you forget about your own team last year?

Pre season I didn't think AJ would be able to lead the team. I was wrong.

He did very well.

That doesn't have anything to do with Mettsiah though. For all we know he could be the next John Brantley.

Sucks.

99 career carries, 324 yards, and 4 touchdowns. A whopping 3.3 YPC.

Jerious Norwood
True definition of a change of pace running back that can do a couple of different things. Still he barely has over 2,000 career rushing yards, 900 receiving yards, and 10 touchdowns. Nothing to get excited over, IYAM.

If the chips fall in the right place and LSU is the only unbeaten team from a BCS conference and Bama is the best team or second best team in the country, there is no reason for a rematch not to occure, though I'd be fine with shutting someone out in the Sugar Bowl.

However, if (when) Bama wins in TS, I hope the right teams lose so we can have LSU and Bama in Miami. The two best teams like it should be.

I'm not one to buy into the whole "Mettsiah" thing. I think having unreal expectations for a QB without a start under his belt is a little absurd. Now, to expect him to be better than what we had is easier, because what we had was so bad. Coupled with the team we have coming back, Mett looks like he could be the missing link. That is why you see people obsess. I understand it, I just don't make outrageous claims.

I have no idea. I'm just saying it's not "rare"

Oh and btw the last 3 BCS Champs were breaking in a new QB.

I could name just as many first year starting QBs who failed.

Nobody has a clue what Mett will or won't do. It's all speculation.

Just like this thread. Who really knows which rb group will be better? Nobody. It's just something to discuss while we wait for football season.

Who said it would be shocking? When two teams are dead equals I'd imagine Bama fans would pick Bama, and LSU fans would pick LSU. I wouldn't be surprised if LSU won.
