LSU played elite football in the first half of the Bama game. The execution on both sides of the ball was flawless. I said at the time that if LSU plays like that every game they’ll win it all.

But it’s really hard to play at that level in every quarter of every game. It doesn’t happen for an entire season. People don’t usually score a 100 on every homework assignment or every test for an entire semester.

So what do we make of it? Sometimes it just boils down to individual players winning one on one matchups.

That being said, if LSU’s offensive and defensive lines control the line of scrimmage then they’ll win comfortably.
