LSU’s Blocking was Atrocious

Some LSU players had brutal blocking grades last night. Pass blocking/run blocking grades. Players who played 60+ snaps.
RB: 43.1/NA
OL: 70/59.2
OL: 47.4/59.2
OL: 83.0/53.0
OL: 12.6/57.0
OL: 57.6/51.1
For scale, here is how PFF categorizes grades.
90+: Elite
80-89.9: Very Good
70-79.9: Good
60-69.9: Average
50-59.9: Below Average
<50: Poor/Failing
Only Seaton had a pass blocking grade considered very good. Three of their linemen and RB1 had pass blocking grades of below average or poor. Not a single blocker had a run blocking grade that was not below average. That 12.6 grade is amazing in how bad it is. Even more amazing is he played 72 snaps, tied for most on the team.

I thought this was the only reason he got a scholarship coming out of Newman. I thought his parents are wealthy alums, dad is a former player, give him a scholarship, let him be a part of the team. I never dreamed he would start back then, or even now with the ability to bring in transfers.
