Loss would have been too late for that. Lsu’s Long win streak would have given them the edge.

Nope. USC was AP #1 the year LSU won the BCS. The AP was very biased towards them at the time. Oklahoma lost the last game in 2003 to k-state and still played LSU in title game.

Usc was ranked higher than lsu in 2003 because of timing of loss. That’s how those polls always operated.

Check out my the polls that season and how they trended. LSU never had a chance after the Auburn loss.

UF is usually an easy win for us. UGA actually brings some excitement. UF only wins when we make a ton of mistakes. Even then they scrape by.

The trend that had Texas and USC at the top from start to finish.

A loss by usc in the final game clearly changes that trend.
