I hate most of everyone in this thread besides TT9 and Funky Tide8 FWIW IMO. I haven't read it all but there are a lot of folks from both sides going full tard.

Ask Randy Moss if he'd rather 18-1 (the better resume') or the Lombardi from that season.

So Utah was way better than Bama in 08
Yes, they finished undefeated and ranked number 2 in the country

ole miss was far better than Florida in 08 too
Ole miss won by a single point, not 3 touchdowns
There is a big difference between losing a game and being dominated. Utah dominated alabama, but not to the same degree that alabama dominated LSU. Allowing a team to cross midfield one time is like a perfect game in baseball, it's rare, dominating, and very hard to accomplish

Seems to be a common theme

not 3 touchdowns
Where's these mystical 3 touchdowns coming from? Bama managed to score 1 in 8 quarters.

The only thing funnier than Bama going to Nola and giving LSU's 'greatest team ever' the beat down of the century is seeing fans like Rick still mad about it 6 months later.

Yes it is, not to mention that LSU may beat UA but lose to SCar, Hogs, AU, etc...rendering this question kind of unimportant.

LSU's 'greatest team ever'
I guess in retrospect they weren't the best ever. Probably 4th, maybe 5th.

Excuse me, 21 points. I should have spelled it out

Kind of like one of Bama's greatest teams ever needing a blocked FG by Madea to beat UT in '09 amirit?

He was kicking fine from those distances on 1/9. Lets see, our little kicker scored 15 points on 1/9, more than your whole team managed in 2 games. You lost. You lost so hard no one will ever forget. The 2012 LSU team will be a laughingstock until the world forgets what college football is. False. He had trouble making long kicks. Every kick would've been A CAREER LONG.that means he has never made one that long. Also the kicker on jan 9th wast the kicker missing fg on nov 5th.
I think you are confused. Both kickers played and missed fgs in the 11/5 game. Cade Foster missed the most fgs in that game, but those kicks were not out of his range. In 2010 he made 5/6 kicks of 40 yards plus attempted, with a long of 49. in the 11/5 game he missed a 44 yarder, then a 50 yarder, then the other kicker shelly had one blocked from 49, hit one from 34, then foster hit a 46 yarder, in regulation. foster missed one from 52 in ot. Saban had faith in his leg and it bit him in that game, it happens. foster did not attempt a fg in the 1/9 game, but shelley, the short range kicker, hit several from 40+ in that game. do you think saban does not know the true capabilities of his kickers? cade foster's kicks where from 44, 50, 46, and 52. he had a career long of 49 at that point. not unreasonable to think that of those 4 kicks he would have hit at least 2 of them, since he had been the long field goal kicker for 2 years, hit on 5/6 long tries the previous year.

Had a lot of people here comparing them to the '92 team. Also note I said "one" of the greatest ever.

That team that went undefeated? Tell me again, how many times has LSU done that? Once in '58 amirite?

You had to add in the 'one of' because there have been so many over the decades. Ha, I love it
