I wondered throughout the season if or when the real LSU team/fans would re-emerge on the national scene. I don't confused Rant logic with actual fan's common sense fan's opinions I talk to in real life. Long time LSU fanatics have accepted it. It's been 10 years since you guys won a NC the last 5 years you guys lost average of 3.7 games a year and haven't finished Top 10 since 12'. I know I know... blame Miles> blame the OC and QB > blame the AD........Deflect Deflect Deflect the blame..... then hiring Coach O with tBinders after having a head start on everyone is laughable. Please save the tired arse Bama Stereotypes and "When Saban retires" comments....

If they weren't putting talent in the NFL like they are I might agree with you. But, they still have the most NFL players in the league and continue to put them out like a factory. It just takes the right coach and they will be competing for Championships with us in no time.

This does bring up a good question: how long can you ride past accomplishments and be considered elite?
I think LSU is still elite, they just haven't produced the results you would want the last few years.
However, I think we could all agree that Nebraska is no longer elite, nor is Tennessee. Where is that line exactly though? Oklahoma/Notre Dame/Texas?

Alabama in the playoffs and on the verge of winning another championship, yet LSU on y'all mind 24/7
