It wouldn't be that simple.

LSU will sue everybody involved. You can expect a RICO case.

ESPN may have grounds to void the media deal.

It is the same media deal that it was before Texas and Oklahoma joined.

If you think LSU > Texas + Oklahoma, then I just don't think there is anything to say. ESPN has no grounds to terminate because they had 2 blue bloods added without a total renegotiation. If LSU is out, then they are still up. No court is going to find that ESPN has any damages.

Also, you cannot sue for RICO. You can have your crooked state AG try to file RICO charges, but it will take seconds or maybe even just minutes for a federal court to declare the issue is not a state issue but a federal issue. Remember the federal government owns all issues between states and there is only 1 school in Louisiana and 15 in 11 other states. Pretty clear case that this is one state vs several other states.

I don't want to see LSU expelled. I wish this had never escalated this far. But at the same time, there is no way LSU comes out on top of this. None.

Don't conflate issues. There are 2 issues being argued right now. One over former NFL contract signers ability to come back to school. The other is simply does the SEC have the right to expel LSU. As long as the SEC expels LSU by its bylaws, LSU has no leg to stand on.

Oklahoma State is the only realistic option.

Or maybe Tulane
