what I really find hilarious is the tiger faithful fall in love with every name mentioned and can't wait for them to "upgrade" the defense but as soon as news breaks that they have been turned down they come up with every reason why they are glad that the hire didn't work out

Bottom line, Les is good coach. Give him time to find the right coach and he will.
This is right but one key point is lost, Aggies melted hard and were being pummeled for not hiring a DC but they ended up hiring a Top 5 guy from a divisional conference team. Also during the search Aggies were touting that we would get a big name but few believed us. It was the definition of a home run hire.
Now if Les can get Foster to leave VT or Smart to leave Bama then they can similarly be vindicated. As it is though everyone seems to be turning them down and they don't have the excuse of preparing for Bowls or contract clauses that kept them in place until the end of the year, they just don't want to go to LSU. I'm sure they will figure it out in the end but it doesn't look good right now.
