I agree while I also disagree. I don't think LSU fans are any more hateful, angry, or ugly as any other fan base but just more of it which comes down to the numbers. I don't know them but I would expect the amount of LSU fans to triple the amount of all the other fan bases combined. I think it skews everyone's perception. I don't care what is said here except for when people start trying to use this site as an argument for who's "truly" the worst irl fan base ever because this isn't real, that's not how it works. It seems the majority here are too dumb to separate the two. "Oh we're all talking shite to each other but them over there they talk the most shite so they're horrible irl but we're awesome fans because we talk less shite." C'mon

Yeah I've driving by Baton Rouge on the highway heading home from Nola. It looked pretty dirty and worn out from what I could see.

It’s true. You’re absolutely right. It’s like that here for Bama fans, too. When we post about Bama, some a-hole (like DBU, who lost a ban bet but is still posting) says “insecure U,” and when we post about other teams, we are “scared” or something else generally unoriginal and unfunny. Most of the people on the board would rather see other teams lose than see their own team when so that they (we) can be dicks to the losing team.
That’s not the way most fans of teams are. It’s just the internet, and if you actually give a shite about how people on here feel about you, you’re gonna have a bad time.
I liked your post, though. It’s shows you to be a thoughtful, even-handed person. But it’s the equivalent of throwing a nice, shiny new penny into an ocean of piss. This place is still an ocean of piss, but at least there are some shiny pennies in it.

New Orleans gets a pass because of its history (big fan myself) and because it’s a Saints first city, with LSU being a distant second.
