High hopes are one painful female dog.

They really thought they had something started there with BK, and then BK did BK things. I hurt in advance with my LSU friends for when LK does LK things. Maybe he gives them a little hope and something to celebrate before that happens, though.

It's no different that Alabama fans constantly flip flopping over DeBoer

You sure? If DeBoer does DeBoer things, he’s going to beat a whole bunch of really good teams.

As long as the playoffs expand to 16 or 24, dropping a game or two that he shouldn’t won’t matter as much.

Try to keep up, Sidewalk. Or maybe stick to win %s, your specialty

That's cool.

Bama fans are still emotional as frick over him.

Just a week or so ago, you were insisting the AD should tell him to go to Michigan.

Nope. Said the AD should suggest that Michigan “may be a better fit” when we were down 17-0.

If DeBoer can’t handle the pressure at Bama, then Michigan is definitely a better fit. We’re still trying to see if he can handle the pressure (FSU game and Vandy last year weren’t good indicators). Day almost cracked at OSU, and DeBoer has shown signs of concern but still fighting. We’ll see if he can get over the hump and survive the crucible.

I will note, I like his chances a heck of a lot better than Lane’s at LSU. Lane is about to find out that pressure is an addicts worst nightmare. He had a good thing at Ole Miss.

We know, we know…your simple win % mind doesn’t understand nuance.

If I use nuance, your dumbass cries

If I use generalizations, your dumbass cries

Seems like your dumbass is just going to cry regardless so cry more

Now this is a solid melt.

I’ll give it a 8.5/10

Way to totally change your post after realizing I already addressed it. Unfortunately, the quality of your edited post wasn’t much better.

3 National Championships in last 22 years will keep me satisfied for years to come

This is good to hear, because it may be some time before the next one. Especially given the fact that at least 1 and probably 2 of those NCs may not have happened in a 12-16 team format. Adding games against quality coaches and opponents isn’t a good thing when Les Miles or Ed O are roaming your sidelines.

Edit: BK couldn’t even win 1 meaningful post season game in 21+ years of coaching. Imagine thinking he was going to win 3-4 in a row in the same season

For all this shite talk, Alabama's last natty is only a year removed from LSU's.

Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades, but it does impact how you feel about your program’s chances.

2021 WR injuries, 2022 one of the best RBs in the NFL drops a wide open pass in Neyland that starts the ST’s spiral, Saban was a 4th down conversion by Michigan away from winning it in ‘23 with a center that couldn’t snap and Jalen Milroe at QB. We’ve been right there every year except last year. Beat IU, and we’ll have a shot this year if the ball bounces our way.

We all have our excuses.

Heck, if LSU fields just a decent defense in 2023, they likely win the natty.
