Who knows if or when LSU may need a new football coarch... but if I were the LSU Grand Poobah in charge of hiring a new one for them, I would throw large piles of greenbacks in the directions of Cincinnati or UAB. Both coaches are highly underrated.
UAB jokes aside, what Clark has done there is nothing short of a miracle. There's no telling what he could do at a major (i.e., STABLE) program. And Cincinnati has been ranked in the top ten frequently over the last couple of years. That's amazing also.
But hey, that's just my look based on accomplishment and success. LSU would probably try to hire Deion Sanders as a diversity candidate instead.

At this point that would be the best case scenario.
They are still having delusions that a top name coach is going to step into that woke dumpster fire.

Coach O can just transition and call them sexist for trying to fire him. He’ll then be labeled brave and they’ll have to keep him because feelings are more important.
