Any SEC vs. SEC match-up is somewhat of a "rivalry" especially inter-division match-ups. Throw in on top of that the last 4 games have had national title implications, and yea I'd say at the moment things are pretty heated. Now, obviously it does not currently have the tradition that BAMA vs. UT or BAMA vs AU has. However, BAMA vs UT came from Bear always having trouble with UT at UK and then still having a tough time against Neyland at BAMA. So, if things stay this way for a while it could become something of a true rivalry.

Aren't you one of the people who wished a tornado would hit Alabama the other day?

We simply don't have it for LSU. Sorry?
Trust me bro I absolutely couldn't give a shite less.....but I guarantee you that your coach hates LSU more than Tenessee, Auburn, or anyone else you can think of. However, I agree with you that doesn't make a rivalry between universities. Alabama will never be LSU's rival, much to your chagrin

I think that was CPLSU3 or something like that.

AU was awesome with Cam and Gus, I just don't see Auburn competing with Alabama at that elite level on a consistent basis
Surely you jest.
2002-2007 IB says "hello".
That's the great thing about the Iron Bowl rivalry. Anything can happen in that game. We'll gladly lose every game if it means we can beat Bama in November.

No... this guy was the one who wished the University of Alabama would get wiped off a map with no one getting hurt but Saban.

Pardon me, but guarantees from LSU fans just don't carry the same weight as they once did.
And which is it? Saban hates LSU or Saban secretly loves LSU and wishes he'd never left? Go over and consult with your fellow Rantards and get back to me.

I grew up on LSU football in the 80's and 90's and I always thought of Alabama as one of LSU's most hated opponents (top 3). The Shaun Alexander game only intensified my distaste. Saban took it to a galactic level.
I can see where gumps might feel the angst is all on one side but if they had to list their three most hated opponents, what would they currently be?

I briefly saw that before it was marked unreadable. The only ones I remember were Brew Drees and C3POLSU or some shite.

Granted I'm not a Bama fan, but I'd say the list goes like this:
1. Auburn
2. TN
3. Whoever they have to play in the SECCG

I got the first two right.

Yea thats it....about 50/50 tongue in cheek (which I thought was obvious given the road to recovery statement about 2 post down)....but I stand by the comment about Saban 100%.

There was not a single mention of a tornado in that thread......not even in my marked unreadable post.....which you so graciously rehashed so I could defend my great name...thanks btw

I get the feeling that alot of LSU fans feel that they are missing a piece of the college football puzzle by not having a true rivalry with anyone so they have been reaching on this BAMA/LSU rivalry thing for a while now.
BAMA/LSU is a rivalry but not in the sense that BAMA/Auburn is.
pretty fair assessment IMO.
Auburn was LSUs "rival" when that game was all but deciding the West for a stretch.

Well, it's weak, regardless.
