So is your implication that Bama fans are equally interested with UT related issues year round in the same manner as they are with Auburn related issues?

I'm not going to delude myself into thinking the UT/Bama rivalry is on the same level as the Iron Bowl for most Alabama fans, or fans around the country in general. That said, based on everything I've seen/read/heard/etc., there is certainly a significant portion of the Alabama fan base that considers the Third Saturday in October to be their favorite game of the season, and many of those fans have felt that way for a very long time.

This rivalry is something both fan bases have treasured for years. Quit acting like it's just something Bama fans use to irritate Auburn fans.

I would just like to add that the third Saturday in October is back on the third Saturday in October.

For ALL of my friends who come from families who have multiple generations of people who have gone to or been associated with Alabama, Tennessee is the rivalry most people feel the deepest. Auburn's rivalry has different roots, and more media attention, but the numbers are closer than people think insofar as the number of fans who would choose to keep Tennessee over Auburn as their rival. This has nothing to do with trying to irritate Auburn, and everything with the tradition of the schools and the legacy of the rivalry.

Um, okay...fan of Auburn...now tell us what else Alabama fans think and feel.

Your post is as ignorant as the LSU fans saying we just pretend to not care about them...

^^^^THIS^^^^

Ohiovol gets it as does Bellabama. Given a choice I prefer to keep the UT game as do most people I know.

Oh add what has gone on in 18 pages:

OP and others are hurt that Bama doesn't hate them.

The game is important b/c right now LSU has risen to the top of the pile and are the ones "in our way" and looks like Arky has a chance to be in the same fashion. Yes they are "circle" games.

We hate UT and The barn year in and year out.

LSU fans feel that they are missing a piece of the college football puzzle by not having a true rivalry with anyone

which is ridiculous since Ole Miss is LSU's rivalry, but for some reason LSU fans don't want to admit it.

I admitted it. But when your backup QB is taking a knee with five minutes left in the game, it's hard to fire up those rivalry feelings.

Exactly. And to your point, most of the people I know, regardless of age, would prefer to keep Tennessee.

I personally feel like the majority of the pressure to keep Auburn comes from ESPN and media.

So I guess we should feel special since everyone seems to be fighting over our hatred.

It's not personal... And I only meant if we had to choose one team.

It's pretty funny that the thread titled LSU/Bama has turned into a discussion about Bama/UT/AU.

Yeah, I know I don't see Slive breaking up the TSO or the Iron Bowl. Ever. JMO though.

I hope they don't ever get rid of either one. Or GA/AU. They are the best.

Whoa, whoa, whoa...let's not to Crazytown. To me, Auburn is the one to keep, and a hell of a lot of Bama fans would agree. That said, there are quite a few Bama fans who hate Tennessee more than Auburn. In my experience, its usually older fans...but I have one friend who is my age who hates Tennessee exponentially more.

For me, Auburn is a 100+ on the hate-o-meter...Tennessee is a 97.

Well, you would then be in the 40% of the people I've seen who think Auburn is the biggest rival.
