If LSU and Alabama remain on these competitive levels for a few years, will this game end up always being called the "Game of the Century"? Kind of like the Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party? I think the series name could stick. What do y'all think?

:is serious:

ETA: I'm not saying it will always be the game that plays into the nc game. Just saying that the game of the century moniker will be hard to shake.

not in importance. When was the last time Georgia was even considered for MNC? Oh 1980? Yeah that is recent.

Actually that would have been 2007, but you were only 27 years off.

It absolutely has sticking potential. The first one was epic and both teams look to be battling for the west/NC for the forseeable future. It will only take a few more years of top 10 matchups before it's always called TGOTC IMO.

I still don't know if I could ever hate Lsu as much as I hate UT and AU though

If the trend continues, this game is essentially a play-off game with the winner moving on to the SECCG and then to the NC Game.

Not even close. The LOCP is known more for the party atmospher than actually playing football. It's basically a meaningless game with no National Championship implications on the line.

Didn't this game just decide the East?
