Who adjusts more? Maryland or LSU? Does Benford know how to adjust? Seriously if LSU wins this, watch for Benford to become full-time head coach.

He better not. He had 5 straight losing seasons at North Texas after Johnny Jones had 6 straight winning seasons there. Would be a worse hire than Ed O.

Can't rule it out. I said in '16 that Orgeron could win the national championship and not get promoted to full time and we see how that worked out.

Probably the perfect coach to go through the probation/post-season ban, loss of scholarship years.
Suffer for a few years through it, then bring in a big time coach.

If Smart was already cleared by the NCAA i dont really see us catching sanctions for this situation. Unless theres something involving another play that comes to surface.

Smart wasn't cleared by the NCAA. He was cleared by the LSU admins who just asked him: "Have you accepted any money from any donors? Did Will Wade offer you anything other than a scholarship?"
Of course his answer to these questions would be no. LSU re-instated him way too fast to actually investigate the issue. Just going by his word.

I'm pretty sure I read that they were also involved in the investigation that cleared him. LSU definitely consulted them, but I don't recall to what degree.
