FWIW, Petrino is probably who I would take over Gus
Let's see. Guy who coached in NFL(Yeah, I know he left early and wasn't successful) vs a guy who has never even been a CFB head coach. No brainer here boys

Like I said, I feel this has more to do with Todd vs. Mallett than Malzahn vs. Petrino.

Let's not go that far. Petrino is a good OC but I'd take Malzahn's any day of the week.

Like I said, anyone NOT affiliated with Auburn.

I am a Gus fan. I like that he's trying to change the status quo of what can be successful. But Petrino is the best offensive mind in the SEC and it's not even up for debate.

Dude, your reading comprehension skills are horrible. I was making the point that the production of the separate offenses was due to the fact that Mallett is much better than Todd. You basically just said I'm a homer because I think Todd < Mallett.

You are a homer because you think Gus is better than Petrino. Seriously, start a poll and see what the rest of the SEC thinks. This will show that you are, in fact, being a complete homer.

I would have said Gus was better than Petrino when Gus was at Tulsa or Arkansas. My opinion, whether you want to believe it or not, is that Malzahn's offense is better than Petrino's regardless of the fact that he coaches at Auburn. Call it homerism if you must, but it's just my honest opinion. Anybody that can make Tulsa the #1 and #2 offense in the country is pretty damn good in my book. Like I said, this is my opinion and I'm sure someone outside of Auburn would agree. I really don't care enough to make a poll because it really doesn't matter.

I'm not allowing this...Petrino gets no recognition for winning the Big East and a BCS bowl due to being in a lesser conference.

Gus is good...not Petrino good IMHO

Just don't ever get in a situation where you need to take a snap under center, right? Gus' offense didn't look so hot in SEC play.

Good, yes. But look at what he was doing. Running and gunning against zero defense. Didn't Nevada lead the nation in rushing last year? Same situation.
Petrino's team had the number one offense in the league against the toughest defensive league in the country. I don't know why I'm defending the guy, I actually hate him, but to say gus is better is retarded IMHO. But I will now respect yours
