Louisville sports KILLED IT this year.
Football - Dominated UF in Sugar Bowl
Basketball - Won it all
W Basketball - Made the finals
Baseball - Omaha with good chance to win it all
There are others as well.
But, like everyone said, no new markets. The best thing the SEC could do is get UVA and UNC. Helps athletics, academics, and brings really large new markets. Those are schools with powerful alumni all over the world.
Won't happen though.

The only schools in the SEC that aren't flagship institutions are Auburn, Vandy, Texas A&M, and Mississippi State

My bad. Most states only have one flagship school.

Oh, shut up hawg. Arky isn't the only flagship school in the SEC, contrary to your beliefs.

Who's ranked higher academically?
Who has the most NCAA titles?

Objection, relevance. He said flagship, not who is ranked higher with the most NCAA titles. And, unless you've been living under a rock, you should know good and GD well that A&M is by FAR the best athletic program the past 3-5 years. Either way, "flagship" is a title, not an accomplishment.

Texas has 42 NCAA titles to TAMU's 11 though.

?
And?
How does that change A&M's title as the Flagship of the A&M System of Higher Education?

we are older. we have a larger endowment. we are a land, sea, air , and space grant institution. we have a larger enrollment, and our graduates make more. we are both flagships of the state

That doesn't have anything to do with being a Flagship Institution though.

Unless you win the Director's Cup, do you get hardware?

Florida has 3 NCs
Miami has 5
Guess that answers that question.
