Man a lot of you are hung up on this "flagship" school crap. Who cares? The conferences are there for athletics and Louisville holds it's own thank you very much. Btw this post was not created by a Louisville fan. Personally I think we fit much better in the ACC and happier to be there than in the SEC who only cares about football and to a lesser extent baseball. The ACC is more "well rounded".

Ya know, after reading that, I think I just read the epitome of moral victory in the shortest amount of typed words possible ... "the ACC is more "well-rounded."" Seriously?

frick lou'sville .... oh, and lulz at lou'sville.

Oh, and lou'sville definitely fits better in the ACC - I'll agree with you 100% in that regard.

The only reason louisville has had a decent run the past couple seasons in anything other than basketball, is the fact that osu has been on sanctions and the recruits that wanna stay in ohio area cross the street to louisville. Now that osu can again return to their lucrative recruiting practices expect the cards to fall back below average in everything except bball, where they can still pluck the second hand kentucky recruits that dont make the grade for the big blue.

I can count on one hand how many Ohio recruits we have on our team. The majority of our kids traditionally have come from Florida.

So...OSU has been on probation for around ten years?

It could just be you CatFan81. In all seriousness, Louisville just swept #1 Vandy (according to the final Baseball America top 25 rankings). Beating MSU isn't that fathomable. Beating LSU however would be a tall task.

I just love pouring salt in a wound. I was just perusing through tv ratings of past bowl games. Kentucky is the flagship program in the state right? Draws ALLLL the tv's over lil ole Louisville right?

I noticed the Liberty bowl ratings for Arkansas-East Carolina this past season were at an all time high with a 4.4 rating. It was the highest television rating for the Liberty Bowl since 2004. Yet why is it when Kentucky played the exact same team, East Carolina in 2009, it drew a measly 2.7 rating? Flagship program with all the tv's, right? Oh silly me I forgot to tell you THE highest rated Liberty bowl that Arkansans/East Carolina didn't quite beat. It was Louisville/Boise State which drew a 4.6 rating in 2004. THE highest tv rating the Liberty Bowl has EVER seen in the HISTORY of the bowl game. Awesome. Flagship rocks. Lil ole Louisville.

Damn I love numbers. But but but but but but but....spin spin spin away.

I'm quite grounded.

Vandy had been regressing for a while before you beat them. That's fairly common knowledge. They peaked too early.

I'm beginning to think that you have no idea what a "Flagship" school is. It has nothing to do with athletics.

Evil Vodka how dare you bring logic and reasoning to the discussion. Kentucky fans still live in the 1980's. Little brother is 6'4" 270 and makes big brother look like Peewee Herman. I think its funny that uk fans like to use a term coined by one of their drunken coaches that landed them on one of their many probations. UofL is the older institution. Know your place.

I don't know what Kentucky fans you've met. I haven't met them though.

Yet we're still the more wealthy institution. We're still the Flagship school. We still have better academics.
