But your still basing this off of beating us and taking a slightly less shitty MSU to OT.
No, I saw Utah State whip Auburn physically and I saw Western Kentucky hang with Kentucky and there wasn't much difference b/t the 2. I've seen Tennessee get blown out by every SEC team. Vanderbilt seems pretty solid to me, but I'm not willing to say they would beat us "for sure."

Nope. LaTech did me a favor and didn't charge me.

The point is you beat the worst Ole Miss team of all time, who happens to be playing even shittier now that the coaches have been basically fired.
and lost to the 2nd worst team in the West, and you think you basically could compete in the SEC now...
that's fricking retarded.
Your team is decent. After watching La Tech play State and almost win I thought they looked pretty good. But if you were to be in the SEC and have to play SEC teams every week (not just our shitty team and the 2nd worst team in the West, but also the teams that don't suck) you would do horribly.
Your players would be beat to shite, you'd have more injuries, and there would be no SEC super bowl where you get your chance to knock off a SEC team. You'd probably end up right above us, as in 2nd worse SEC team

What sunk Nutt was his inability to let go of his friendships with those two coaches. They've been with Nutt for something like 17 years.
Exact same thing at Arkansas. Those guys should have been fired a long, long time ago. He would probably still be at Arkansas if he would have been willing to let his friends go.

We have depth. You saw our 2nd string QB and our 4th string RB (Lee) tonight. We also lost our starting safety in week 1. Injuries happen in every league. It's a physical game outside the SEC too.

You can't really base judgement off of how a team played one game. I can look at your loss to Hawaii and downplay your team. Auburn's looked good against other teams. And Kentucky sucks. They're easily the 2nd to worst team in the SEC with us being the worst.
LaTech is on par with the bottom-feeders of the SEC. That's not me slamming you guys or anything. We have a huge assed advantage over you guys with money, fan support, etc. And you guys aren't even in a BCS conference.

If Tech was in the SEC they would have more $ and be able to recruit more depth it's really not hard to undertand

And you don't think SEC teams have depth? Are you legitimately saying that it's no tougher to play outside the SEC than it is to play 8 SEC teams?
You're fricking stupid, drunk, high, or any combination of the three.

i wonder if david lee will join nutt's staff at his next job? he couldn't possibly be stupid enough to do it for a 4th time could he?

which would pay off eventually. But we're talking about their team right now vs the SEC.

I know that. I saw Auburn play MSU the next week and MSU was about an inch from beating them. I saw Georgia beat them today about as bad as they beat New Mexico State last week. I don't think Auburn is very good.

Seriously. I think we would match up well with the following:
Auburn
Miss State
Tennessee
Vanderbilt
Kentucky
Ole Miss
Florida

Too bad the SEC can't just dump the MS schools and pick up Oklahoma and Texas becuase they will never be able to compeat anyway.

First, Kentucky still beat western kentucky by almost 2 TDs. But still they are horrible. Better than us, but still horrible.
Second, those were the first gamse of the season. shite happens and teams get better.
Third, La Tech lost by around 18 points to a Hawaii team that lost to Utah State. So I don't see how you're competitive because Auburn ALMOST lost to Utah State.
Fourth, Tennessee was actually decent before their 2 main offensive weapons were injured. Again your team would have alot more injuries if you were in the SEC. You wouldn't be able to do it week in and week out for a while season and end up ranked in the middle of the SEC

Tech would have a lot better players if they were in the SEC so you point makes no sense??? Why in the hell does the state of Mississippi have 2 SEC teams nowdays? They can't hang and it makes no sense at all. I am sure their alumni get tired of losing every week?

No, we're not talking about how Tech would do over time if they were in the SEC for a while and got better players. The argument is that this Tech team right now would be a middle of the pack SEC team.

Tech just made the SEC look foolish and that is the point...
