Those penalties were soft as hell
By the book targeting, and defenders havent been able to hit a QB in that manner for years.

Wrong. SC defender only used his hands last year and the refs took away a pick 6 and gave LSU the game to make sure BK didn’t get to 7-5.

Which ones were wrong? Targeting and roughing were legit
Targeting was. Roughing was one of the worst calls of the entire game. Seemed they were making up for the fact that the on-field officials completely missed the targeting (which should have been at least roughing anyway).

Watch the play, Stockton is running and jumps up the air. When our defender goes for the hit he's clearly turning his head to avoid crown contact and then Stockton drops down from his jump and comes down on the defenders helmet. I get why they called it but it's a bs rule and improperly applied in that situation. It's made for the type of hit the Georgia player did when he lowered his head and launched into our guy who was on the ground that of course they didn't even look at.

You are incorrect. Although that penalty was bs, it was unnecessary roughness for hitting the QB and not a blindside block.
